2 days tour to visit Buddhist Pagodas & Traditional Paintings

In the morning you will get picked up from your hotel in Hanoi at 8.00AM and transferred by bus out of the downtown toward Bac Ninh province.

Here, at the junction between the highway and country road in Tien Du district you will start your ride along beautiful rural scenery to Phat Tich Pagoda (the pagoda of full blessing). This is an ancient pagoda that was built from 11th century. From the top of the hill you will have a chance to admire a huge Buddha statue carved from marble and enjoy great view of peaceful and evergreen country surroundings.

Continue along easy country road you will reach the Dong Ho village. This village is famous in the country for its handicraft of traditional wooden block printing.

Today most of the households in the village get involved in making paper votive offerings and here you can see all stuffs can be made from colorful paper such as houses, TV, motorbikes, cars and even Ipad and so on.

You will take a visit to home of artisan Nguyen Dang Che who is with “golden hands” and renowned for his traditional paintings as well as caving wooden printing blocks.
Learn about the process of making the craft and chat with the man to get to know further about one of the most typical folk art in Vietnam.

 After lunch, continue with your bike along river bank to visit But Thap Pagoda, an ancient pagoda built from 13th century with famous pen-shape stone stupa (with which the pagoda got the name) and a masterpiece of woodcarving - thousand hands Goddess of Mercy.

Slowly ride on the bank of Duong River and enjoy the beautiful scenery of country side until you get picked up by bus for a short drive back to Hanoi.
Tour finishes in Hanoi around 5PM. End of service.

Note: If you are a fit cyclist and want to cycle more without bus support then you can start your ride from Hanoi center and skip the Phat Tich Pagoda to get the itinerary work within 1 day.
